    Sarah Taber is a former TV News Producer for WREG-TV News Channel 3 in Memphis, Tennessee, which is accredited as the #1 news station in the Mid South market. She has a strong educational background in storytelling, earning a bachelors degree in Journalism and Multimedia studies from the University of Mississippi in 2024. She is passionate about telling stories that inspire, inform and engage. Sarah is experienced in a fast-paced newsroom environment, creating content across multiple platforms along with producing compelling stories under tight deadlines while collaborating with reporters, anchors, and creative teams. She is dedicated to clear communication, journalistic integrity, and finding meaningful stories that connect with people.

Experience

As a TV News Producer for the top rated news station in the Memphis and Mid South market, Sarah Taber is experienced in producing a wide variety of shows ranging from morning, evening, afternoon, lifestyle etc. During her time at WREG-TV News Channel 3, Sarah managed the newsroom during high-pressure situations, making editorial decisions and ensuring every show was accurate, engaging, and on time. Furthermore, Sarah led breaking news coverage on air for events including but not limited to President Trump’s visit to Memphis, the Federal and State Civil Rights trial for Tyre Nichols and the Tennessee Legislature’s controversial decision to redistrict its congressional map, effectively eliminating the state’s only democratic district. Beyond producing for television, Sarah wrote and published stories for WREG’s website, adapting broadcast content for digital audiences while using audience engagement tools to increase interaction. Sarah also played a key role in helping launch WREG’s ‘3 at 3 p.m.’ with Alex Coleman, where she regularly booked guests, coordinated musical performances, planned holiday segments, and worked on special projects to help establish the show’s identity.

Education

Sarah Taber earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Multimedia Studies from the University of Mississippi, along with a minor in Political Science in 2024. During her time at UM, she built a strong foundation in journalism, digital media, news writing, reporting, and multimedia storytelling while gaining hands-on experience in the community, oftentimes actively interviewing local leaders, business owners, law enforcement, etc. Additionally, Sarah’s political science coursework gave her a deeper understanding of government, public policy and the political process, helping her better analyze and report on complex issues. The combination of both fields helped prepare her to tell engaging stories across multiple platforms while developing the critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills needed in today’s evolving media landscape.
